Jo's is currently looking for a part/full-time housekeeper/deli person.
We are also seeking 7 full-time employees for this summer's season (start mid-May to mid-June; leave after Labor Day).
Your tasks will rotate through housekeeping, grounds, and grocery/deli positions in a five-day work week (two days off each
week, usually back-to-back!). Some overtime may be available or even necessary.
Your starting wage is $8.50.
For full-time workers, we offer bunkhouse/dorm accommodations with kitchen for singles, or an RV site for couples (nice-looking
rigs only, please). $40/person/week charged for housing includes your utilities, paper goods, weekly housekeeping, and use
of all facilities and equipment. Your housing charge will be returned when you complete your committed work term. Additional
bonuses are possible.
You'll receive a discount in the store and deli, and a free shift meal.
Our cleaning and food preparation standards are extremely high. You'll need the ability to focus on simple tasks and
to have fun following through fully. Thoroughness is much more important than speed. Our rooms and fixtures are kept in
like-new condition every day, using only non-toxic cleaning products. Our deli serves only wholesome, organically grown food,
and the entire grocery, deli and store are kept clean on an ongoing basis. Meeting these standards is a condition of employment.
Backpacking, hiking, fishing and picnicking at Crater Lake and in and around the Wood River Valley; philosophical conversations;
exposure to people from all around the world; and darn good organic food are just a few of the experiences available to you
here. Winter residents also enjoy wonderful snow play in some of the best snowfalls of the Cascade Range.
Parking is limited, and there is no public transportation, so bicycles are highly recommended; we will provide transport
once per summer to/from Klamath Falls Amtrak station, bus station, or airport. Public bus transportation is available between
Medford/Ashland and Klamath Falls.
If working as part of a cheerful, efficient team at Jo's sounds like a fun way to make a living, for summer or longer-term,
give a call to Jim or Robin, at 541-381-2234; if you're in the neighborhood, drop by!
(please - over 18 only; no substance abuse issues)
